Busy as usual, and still worried about band stuffs. I think I'm mad. Usually people will say that I don't have to care so much anymore since my points are no longer as stake. There will also be people who say that they throw in their all precisely because of the fact that this is the last time they're ever going to do this. For me it's more like a mixture of both. I pick what I want to be involved in, and throw myself only into those things.
But it really does give me headaches. Meh.
That aside, I'm discovering the joy of ELLEGARDEN. I remember downloading a couple of their songs quite awhile back just to try them out, but promptly forgot about them. The only thing I remembered was that I thought I downloaded the wrong thing, because the songs were in English, and the style was quite different from the traditional J-Rock. Not only that, the songs were TOTALLY in English, with PERFECT-SOUNDING English, not the Japanese-accented ones that you hear Hyde sing (Yining don't whack me! Hyde's just an erm example). Recently however, someone uploaded a few of ELLEGARDEN'S albums. I downloaded all of them and absolutely love them now. Haha... Apparently from the Wikipedia article I read, their songs have perfect grammar, and the vocal's perfect intonation was due to him working as some software engineer in the States. Although I do concede now that there -are- some weird intonations, like when he sings the word 'disappointed', or whatever word that starts with 'dis-', but still it's more perfect than all the other J-Rock artistes out there. They have Japanese songs too! Their songs can sound American punk/rock-ish, or they could sound J-Rock-ish, but what I really love is how they can have songs which fuse elements of both. It's really interesting, because these two genres sound quite different. It's quite refreshing, really, because after awhile, you start to think that all J-Rock sounds the same :)
Oh er and just to advertise, Rockfest is going to be held on 15th March (tentatively they are having it on 16th March as well). It's going to be held at the SRC basketball courts. Do come to support and chill out!!^^
