[FST] BITTERSWEET
Title: Bittersweet
Pairing: USxUK
Notes: Been wanting to do a FST for so long so I finally did one for usxuk ‘s 2011 Special Relationship Sweethearts week. I started few months ago and found it recently. Left some songs from that one and added some new. This FST is just a product of my weird mind so yeah… Tell me your opinions about the songs and how would you interpret them. It was rather fun so maybe I’ll done more in the future.
Don’t worry about some my comments… I already deleted some of them before even posting just to spare you this torture… ;P You don't wanna know what they were like...

I can see it from England’s point. He was really attached to America what in the end became his downfall in the War of Independence and in the end he had to let go and leave.

But I’m living in the bittersweet present
A little long part cut. Well, this can see from bath England’s and America’s view. Their “15 year old self” could be during the War of Independence when both were hurting. The second one, from the future is the current one, when they are on a better terms but they still hurt. But it’s okay and their past selves should do what they believe in and shouldn’t give up even if in the future they won’t be together maybe one day everything will turn out well.

Eh, don’t know what to say about it. Don’t know what exactly is it that makes me think about USUK but well… War is destructible and it destroyed their relationship for a long time. Maybe that’s why I put it here? I have no idea…

Hm, “he” in this I picture as England and “she” as America when still being a colony. England staying with America wishing they could be together forever. America who must bear with England leaving him time after time and waiting for the day he returns. Though it seems that the love that was tere started to fade already and they both just keep holding onto it and don’t let go. Ah the angst…

Well, England and America struggling with their love but even though they hurt each other, that their relationship is not the best they just can’t leave. Their love is just so strong!

Well, I have no idea what to say about it. Maybe England thinking about the time when he will finally be able to cope with losing America and see that life is more than just living in the past.

Another unrequited song. Here it’s from America’s pov. We can see England complaining about America every time he’s drunk and America like doesn’t really care. If it makes England feel better telling him this then he’s like go ahead. It’s not like it can really hurt him.

I love this instrumental. I never knew I would love the electric violins so much. This girl is so great. There’s so much feeling to it. You just need to listen and decide for yourself if you also think it fits USUK. ;)
