What a game today! A tremendous, tremendous start from John Maine - I'm not gonna lie, I was sure the Jays would knock him out by the 4th. But he made his pitches, and the defense was lights out behind him and just, wow. I almost crawled under the sofa 8 times today.
I totally succumbed and bought tickets to the game tomorrow. johnnybvo's coming with. Seriously this time, my last game of the year. It will be hot as Tartarus out there, so the Canadian had better be on point. And I hear Raffy's scheduled to DH. That will be innnnnnnnnnnteresting.
Off to hang with Liz, and then later tonight it's catching up on last night's BSG and SG-1. Whoo, my Saturdays are WILD, I tell you :-P
(ESPN just ran the following stat: Since 2001, Marino Rivera has blown saves in 6 games started by Mike Mussina. He hasn't blown that many saves for any other pitcher. And you guys tell me there's no conspiracy ^_~)
