ah vacation
Heading back to Osoyoos today. Had a blast wandering around Victoria for the last couple of days with Angela. There's some Tall Ships event in the inner harbour, so there are sailors everywhere and these crazy boats w/"pirates" climbing up the masts all day long. Weather has been lovely so have spent each day shopping around downtown, seeing my fav spots (smoking lily, the fudge shop, starbucks on government, empress, silk road tea company) Also got free shots at the campus pub because the waiter thought it was my first time in vic. Me and Ang relived our drunken uvic memories before heading to Legends, our cheesy dance club, which is playing the same songs as five years ago... Next night, me and ang visited with Colin, another uvic alumni, watched movies and drank yummy shaftbury summer solistis ale. Had a backyard bbq feast last night, and now, I'm hopping back onto the ferry before getting a ride home. Love victoria still, but no one is here anymore, and it's still a quiet town.
I did miss the cheap drinks, and the 99 cent pizza slices, mmm.
Hoping to see a few more people in the Okanagan this week, mainly my vancouver friend Diane, who's going to be in kelowna later this week (as I didn't actually get to spend anytime in vancouver this trip), as well, my buddy melissa is in penticton, so I can make up for not seeing her while she was in ottawa all of last year. And I can't wait to spend some time with my parents, hanging out on the patio at home.
