so I was gonna post something but I don't remember what.

so here's a random pointless post instead.

move is completed, did the walkthrough and handed keys over for the crappy apartment yesterday. We forgot to clean the oven & the microwave so they're gonna take $25 from our deposits. Ah well, fuck 'em.

NEVER recommending Rock Creek Landing to anyone, that place is overpriced and has shitty office staff. They're jerks.
Hell, for that matter, screw Holland Residential, the big evil corporation that owns Rock Creek.

We won't have internet at the house for another 2 days, Verizon SAYS it'll be working by the 15th but to wait until the 16th to be sure. Whatever. They originally told me it'd be set up the 16th, then changed their minds to the 21st, and then when I called and was all grumpy at a supervisor they changed it back to the 16th. So I'm not going to hold my breath.
I put in the request to get the DSL at the house turned BACK ON on the 10th, btw. Verizon are a bunch of weasles, I swear.
No worse than Comsuck though, and at least Verizon won't watch what we're downloading and limit our bandwidth if we wanna run a torrent file.

Heh, guess this post ended up having content after all.

It's nice being DONE moving, the house is an absolute MESS but that's ok, it's shaping up slowly but surely.

Paid the taxes today, we only owed about half what we'd originally expected to owe, woo. $600-something to State, $880-something to Federal.
Feh. It'll be nice when we have kids and aren't punished by the gov't for being a married couple that hasn't reproduced, and we'll actually get a REFUND instead of having to PAY every goddamned year.

My hands still hurt from moving, even though we did all the bignasty moving last Weds. lame.

My porsche is at les schwab because the "orz my breaks be goin' baaaad" light on the dash came on. So I'm stuck driving Patrick's car today. I don't like his car as much, it doesn't fit me right.

At least I have a car at all though, because thanks to the fantasmic WES Train that has a stop half a mile away from our house, Patrick rides the train to work, and even though it takes about an hour and 20 minutes, which CAN be longer than it takes to drive there, he doesn't have to DRIVE, which he hates. He's been a lot happier since he started taking the train, it's cute.

I think I'm outta content. at least for now. ^-^;
