REVIEW : HARRY POTTER , JAPAN

Before i get into the main topic, let me pointed out some information about this place.

  1. you have to make a reservation ticket, in order to enter the place. *i have no idea where the hell is the reservation ticket*
  2. if the reservation tickets went sold out, they will do “stand-by” ticket.
  3. this thing is more to “lucky-draw”. first, you have to scan your actual USJ ticket at the machine & then  you have to choose a time. they will list down at the machine.
  4. at your Harry Potter’s standy-ticket, they stated a code & an hour before they will announced the code. bare in mind, they only will announced at the Harry Potter section.
  5. they will call out the code. for example “16A” , if at your ticket stated “16A” , then you can go in, if not. BYE BYE !, you cannot enter.
  6. one ticket per day. so it must be soo unlucky of you.

Luckily, my family and i came really early on that day, before the place got packed by sea of people. we came approximately at 9am and straight away went to the Harry Potter section. that time, they didn’t do the “lucky-draw” and “reservation ticket” things yet. perhaps because there were not much of people that time, still bearable for them to control inside the Hogssmeade and Hogwarts.

as you walked into their jungle of trees, the theme song of Harry Potter was on playing. i swear, i got goosebumps. like you were actually walked towards Hogwarts. i wanted to take picture with Weasley’s car but man, the queue , oh my god, waayyy tooo long. so i gave up and went straight to Hogsmeade.

after that we went to the stores, Honey Duke, Wands & Appearances. i swear i went nuts there. everything look dazzlingly gorgeous. i spend there around an hour just to bloody picked things and took pictures here and there. poor my mum, she waited us there for hours. hahaha, since she didn’t follow up with the Harry Potter series. sorry mum!. anyways, i bought a few things there, so i picked :

  • Slytherin cloak, ¥‎ 14,000
  • Slytherin’s badge, ¥1200
  • Gryffindor’s badge, ¥‎ 1000
  • Triwizard cup keychain, ¥‎ 1500
  • Snitch keychain, ¥‎ 1500
  • Professor Slughorn’s wand, ¥‎ 4500
  • Draco Malfoy’s wand, ¥‎ 4500

in total i spend ¥‎ 28,200  . approximately around RM970

we walked around the Hogsmeade. unfortunately we didn’t stand a chance to went inside the Hogwarts, since we thought we had a chance to get into the Harry Potter at night but since they announced different code from us, so we couldn’t went inside, AGAIN! *that sucks*. that moment we were there, the queue was utterly long. they stated it was 90minutes to wait, so we gave up and went out to another sections of Universal Studios. but i swear, if you got a chance, just queue, 90 minutes, to be honest, it was nothing. compared to 240 minutes for each games. hahaha .do not repeat the history as us. we sort of regrets on not queueing for it.

when we went there, i was unsure whether the Olivander shop closed because of they renovated or they closed because they got operating hours. since we went there quite early in the morning until 12pm. the shop was not opened until that time. if you got a chance to went inside, please do. they did a show inside there. if you are lucky enough, you will get a free wand. specially made for you hehe. since they did a “chosen one” show.

Hogwarts itself was piece of arts, you can vividly see the meticulous works of the interior designers and architects on built it. everything at there were mind-blowing. my brother and i almost shed our tears there. i indeed felt surreal. like i was there, in front of my eyes was Hogwarts. i always seen it inside the movie but this time, BAM ! the actual one.

then there was a Frog Choir show, so we went there and listened to it. i sweari got goosebump went they sang “Double Trouble” . it was too harmonized with the frogs, the birds flew here and there. i could not described it in words, you have to go there and experienced by yourselves. everything was perfect. with the weather.
