Voice Booth v2.2
It's so awesome, but it is also jury-rigged all to hell. The drapery is totally wired to the ceiling, since the mounts for the hotel shower curtain were STRONGER THAN THE WALL. So the wire in the ceiling is actually holding the entire thing up as opposed to just supporting it a bit.
The monitor is also wired to the ceiling at three points (you can just barely see the wires behind the top bass trap.) Also, if you look, the monitor is upside down. We did this cause the mounts for the base piece made excellent wire points. The Awesome Fiance has a really good video card on his computer, and now has THREE MONITORS hooking up, including this one. The only downside is that this monitor was one I found in a dumpster at a previous apartment, and while it works, it does this weird scanner line thingie. Also, it's HEAVY. *eyes wire mounts*
The awesome microphone and pop filter (it's so shiny and brassy!) are totally kept from leaning weird by the hand weights on the base.
Right now we are using the wireless mouse from the bedroom media computer to let us control stuff on the booth monitor, but in order to use it we have to literally use the wall as a mousepad. It's not the worst thing, but it's not very comfortable, either. However, we have a wireless trackball presentation mouse coming in the mail, so when that arrives all we have to do is stand there. It will be awesome.
