(no subject)
My nieces' birthday party was yesterday. I actually went out to my aunt's really early so I could at least visit for a while if I got called in, which thankfully hasn't happened (yet. I still have until midnight tonight, and shift change is at 8, I think.). I felt like a doofus for packing a bag with my work clothes as well as my swimsuit and extra clothes, and my makeup bag, but it was better than not having it and having to drive all the way back home and then back in the other direction to get to the hospital. :s
There were a couple of my sister's friends with their rugrats there, and my aunts and uncles, and Steph's baby daddy and his mom and (twin) sisters, and my step-dude's daughter and her kid. There was swimming, and I kept from getting too splashed in the face, but I could have swam for a while longer. I think I want to try and get out to my aunt's more for the rest of the summer so I can swim. We had cookout food and the cake was pretty ridiculous-- it was Tinkerbell and her friends that probably didn't exist until a few years ago.
I have no idea who that kid is behind the cake. There were also little individual cakes for the girls to smash, but Lilly was sick and napping during the party, and Maddy was not into cake. I'm not sure if she's really related to me, because who doesn't love to eat cake? I could have it more than once a week, but I think I'll just have to wait until my roommate's birthday at the end of the month. XD It was also cool to hang out with baby-daddy's sisters-- they remind me of myself when I was their age, except I think I was quieter and definitely okay with ridiculous amounts of neon colors. I'm pretty sure between the three of us, the moon pies will turn out pretty alright. Also it was cool to get compliments on my ridiculous feather earrings and eyeshadow and accessories. XD
I also have to share my ridiculous eyeshadow from yesterday. I used Urban Decay; the base color was Uzi, white with rainbow glitter, then the topmost swoop is Fishnet, and iridescent sort of pink. The middle purple is Ransom, and I used Oil Slick (black with silver glitter) for the bottom and skipped using eyeliner on the top. For the very bottom swoop, I used the Ransom 24/7 eye pencil, and Zero (black) on the inside of my eyelid. For some reason, the two different kinds of Ransom show up differently-- the shadow seems to have kind of a blue tinge, and the eyeliner was very purple. However, sometimes I am bad at colors. I broke the combo by using a different brand of mascara that I can't recall, other than I got it by cashing in points at Sephora. :s
Also I am going to leave this here. I got the album last week and it's been on loop almost as much as RUN FOR YOU.
Okay, now I need to clean the kitchen so I can dirty it again by fixing my lunches for the week, and put away laundry.
