WOW! ahahaha, so ya band camp.
It was fun. I mean, with our band it's all pretty fun. But it was so hot!!
So get this, on monday it was 112 degrees. And we were outside in the sun for what like...8 or so hours. And those 8 hours were all heavy duty marching practice and sectionals. Tuesday I think was about the same, cause it was sunnier, but finally less humid (on Monday it was 90% humidity)
But ya. My cabin was tons of fun. We'd spend our free time sitting in our bunks or at the picknick table listining to blaring music, dancing, singing, talking, or practicing and filling in charts and music. We also celebrated Peggy's birthday (which is this thursday) sunday morning, and monica/Mrs. Kole brought a cake on Tuesday for her.
Skit night was once again amazing. The flutes rocked all of course, with our Duane's Dance Grooves. The onfire was fun, I made a smore :D. And the dance was awsome. Because at band camp dances, it's not just grininding and hiphop and rap. It's music you can dance to. And boy did we dance. I may have actually gotten more sweaty at the dance than at practice.
The practices were fine....I mean it is practice. They were all really hot and humid so we all had sweat dripping from basically everywhere.
But the cool this is that Mr. Blessing is really good at planning things. We got more free time this year than ever before and got the same amount if not more done. Also, we only have 10 charts left to learn of the closer, Tempered Steel. Normally we have like 20 or so.
But heck, i'm glad it's over. My legs are absolutely killing me, and I got sunburn and a sunpoisoning, which only adds to the pain. So yes, I think thats all I have to say.
