Doh!

Got a nudge from ronsrants. Didn't realize it had been so long since I'd posted. Between Facebook and Twitter, I haven't had time to really sit down and write something substantial. I do read my friends page every day though and occasionally comment. I've been pretty slammed at work too, taking trips to Americus and other awesome cities each week for hearings. I've been spending so much time on the road. I'm pretty bored of all my music CDs. I've been really into listening to NPR since the whole economic crisis started. It both thrills and terrifies me to hear the news each week. I appreciate the little side stories they do too. Britt got me a couple of audiobooks to listen to -- Obama's Audacity of Hope and Dreams of My Father. I am going to give those a whirl to see if I can listen to those on the road. I tried to download some from the local library website, but they weren't compatible with my iPod.

I've gotten my exercise schedule down to a routine -- 20 minutes of cardio every weekday morning and 30 on Sundays. I do body pump on Saturdays. Twice a week I go lift weights after work. I am starting to notice a difference, more muscle tone and what not. Don't really know if I've actually lost pounds though. Some office mates and I are starting to do some yoga twice a week during the lunch hour. Thursday was our first attempt, and I think it went well. Probably a good idea to work on relaxation and flexibility while lifting weights. Balance things out.

Next weekend, Britt, Ezra, Allison and I are going to the AMC Best Picture Showcase. All 5 Best Picture nominees, popcorn, soda for $30. I'm excited. I haven't seen any of the movies this year, which is pretty usual for me. I am not a frequent theatergoer. I play catch up three years later with my Netflix subscription. Anyway, finally this year I will get to see all of the nominees before the Oscar ceremony.

My ten year reunion is in a few months. Strolling around the website has revealed that everyone has kids or is pregnant. Kinda weird for me. I think I am going to go, mainly because my best friend is probably going. I'm not sure there will be that many people I am interested in seeing, but what the hell.

Britt and I have been watching Battlestar Galactica lately. We are up to season 4 now, a few episodes behind the current run. Unfortunately I think we're losing steam. The show was so good in the beginning, but now it just doesn't seem to have the staying power to sustain all the good storylines. I am excited that the actor that plays Helo is on Dollhouse. I think I will be watching that via Hulu. Now that we don't have cable any more (isn't everyone cutting back these days?), I've been watching a lot of my usual shows online, mostly via Hulu. It means I can watch whenever I want, which is kinda nice considering how often I am on the road. I take Saturdays as lazy days to watch TV after working out.

Well that should catch up for the last few weeks. I'll try not to wait so long before writing again.
