Vacation rocks

I am in Cornelia, Georgia. Britt had to come up for a security administrator's conference, and I took three days off from work to accompany him up here. Best decision ever. Sleeping in and not having to go to work for a while is nice. I haven't taken any vacation time since...I can't remember when actually. I'm trying to think if I've taken days off since the Vegas trip, but I'm sure I have. Anyway, we got here around 4 yesterday. Britt had a welcome dinner at 6, so I dropped him off and went to Sonic. I drove around a bit. I was going to check out downtown Clarkesville because it seemed like there were some cool shops and what not. Unfortunately, they were all closed at 7. Insane, but what are you going to do. I came back to the hotel and watched TV until Britt got back around 8. We drove up to Helen, GA (it's about 20 miles up the road) and had some food at The Troll Tavern and some beers. Helen looked, well, very touristy. It probably won't be as garish during the daytime because there won't be any lights, but I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow afternoon to go back when Britt can go. Today, my plan is to drive up to Commerce and outlet shop and to go to the Cabbage Patch Babyland in Cleveland, GA. I don't know if I really want to drive to the other stuff suggested in the hotel guide. I don't have any real interest in going to the Ty Cobb Museum, although maybe I should get a postcard for my sister. I dunno. It's like 30 miles away in Royston, GA. I'm not even sure where that is. Ok, I'm heading out to drive around and experience North GA. Hopefully I will have some pictures to post when I get back into Columbus.
