Columbus, Day 2

Britt and I went out to Shoney's for breakfast yesterday. I love some breakfast buffet. I even got French Toast!! I unpacked my kitchen stuff and put that away. I need to get a new silverware divider. Why can't apartment complexes have uniform drawers? I swear this will be like the 3rd one I've had to purchase. Sofi and Tevus are settling in ok. At the moment, Tevus is sitting on the windowsill in front of the blinds looking out. She's so cute!

After we unpacked the kitchen, we watched the last hour of Mission to Mars then took a nap. Yea, we're lazy. After the nap, we went to Home Depot. I bought a 6-in-1 screwdriver, a crescent wrench, a pair of channel locks, a hammer, a new showerhead, and some nails for hanging stuff. It was fun. I love how channel locks and the crescent wrench sort of look like dinosaur heads. I used to play with my dad's and pretend they were dinosaurs, and apparently Britt did too. Silliness, I know. After that we did a bit of driving around and found the place to go I think. There was a mall (in the true outdoor sense of the word) that had every store imaginable -- Barnes and Noble, Toys R Us, Marshalls, Old Navy, Casual Corner, Ross, Backyard Burgers, a movie theater, etc. It's bigger than any of the strip mall areas in Augusta, which is nuts. We played Scrabble and had pomegranate frappuccinos at Barnes and Noble. The big news here is that I beat Britt at Scrabble, with a final score of 285-283. Long ago I swore that once I beat him I'd never play him again, but I think I can muster up a few more games. I was totally psyched to win though. We went to Toys R Us, but they didn't have any of the action figures Britt wanted. They did have some cool Lego's and board games though. Then we got dinner at Moe's and came home to eat that and watch the rest of The 40 Year Old Virgin. Good times all around.

So I still have a ton of stuff left to do -- unpacking, grocery shopping, change driver's license, transfer car tags into my name, etc. I have today and Monday to get it done. I can do it!!
