In light of a conversation Britt and I had this morning, I'm just wondering -- who else had to learn line-dancing in P.E. class in school? Is this just a southern thing? A Georgia thing?

line dancing in middle school, square dancing in elementary school. it's possible that i also learned hog calling in primary school and just blocked it out.

ps last night i saw rakesh at transmet- lo, he is the new law school pres, and lo, he spent the first few hours of his reign drunk and affectionate. way to go rakeeshi!

well you went to an all-boys jesuit school. i couldn't imagine they'd teach line dancing there.

perhaps. but none of my friends who went to other schools in this state ever did anything like that either.

maybe they're too ashamed to admit it because such delight would shine from their eyes and their toes would start a-tappin' in time to the boot-scootin' boogy. or maybe you're right. :)

i learned the electric slide and the swing-your-partner, whatever that was in Maine in 5th grade. that was the end of my dancing. i lived in louisiana for middle school and the first half of freshmen year, no line dancing.

yes! that's it. no body square danced in our town though. don't know why we learned that one.

as i recall in middle school... only the girls had to learn to line dance. the boys went outside to do something more manly.
