WHO: Soundwave (SG) & Starscream (TFA)
WHAT: After Soundwave goes out to shop around for instruments, he runs into a bit of a bad scenario.
WHERE: Zone 4.
WHEN: Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday!
WARNINGS/NOTES: Not really robo-gore, but there are definitely wires hangin' out.
Hunting down instruments hasn't been the hard part. Still, pricing out everything -- that's been the painful part. Sure, Soundwave managed to scrape up his creds from his inactive account, but that's not exactly enough to buy much to support his potential band.
So it dawns on him that he's going to need a real job while he's doing this. Ehh, maybe he should take that radio show gig again; it paid pretty well.
Soundwave finds himself in the last store of the solar-cycle. To his surprise, the owner offers him an instrument at an enormous discount! Still, he isn't familiar with it at all, but. Frag, a deal's a deal.
Without so much of an argument, the communications expert takes the instrument, case and all, and heads outside.
"Hn. Wonder why he didn't want it no more," he emits quietly to himself. It looks so unique; why would he want to be rid of it?
Soundwave shrugs a bit. Well, maybe he can try it out at home.
Exiting behind him is another customer -- larger -- with an enormous case on his shoulder. Although Soundwave pays him no mind, which is quickly his downfall. Someone down the street shouts to the stranger, causing him to whip around...
And smack the case against the back of Soundwave's helm. Really hard, enough to knock him over and knock his faceplate loose. From what he can tell, a few wires, too.
"Whoa!" The large mech turns to peer down. "I'm sorry -- didn't even see you there!"
Soundwave sputters static, trying desperately to cover his faceplate and wave a hand. "KKkffhhh fine, d--kssshhh!"
"You sure?" The larger Cybertronian looks dubious, but Soundwave just nods furiously. Shrugging, the mech starts down the street towards his friend.
Soundwave grabs onto his instrument case and scrambles away to one of the alleyways, finally letting his faceplate come off. He tries to peer down, but he can't really see what he's doing.
There's a lack of a face under his plate; two mismatched speakers and a mess of wires, dangling grotesquely instead. And it seems some of them are knocked loose...
How can he fix it? Soundwave wiggles some of the wires around, trying to find where they're connected--
And successfully tangles his fingers.
