Something strange was afoot.

He'd noticed the human children on his way home, noticed how they seemed a little bit more...bizarre...than human children normally were. Skywarp was changed--and somehow, so was Mikaela. This was widespread, reminding him of Shockwave's handiwork...

...yet the hallmark signs were not present.

Mostly, he was hoping to avoid it, himself. Soundwave had recently returned from vacation, and Megatron had every intention of grilling his communications officer about what 'relaxing' was like.

It had been too long since he'd experienced it, himself.

Entering the main hall of the Hollow, he sagged onto his throne, staring at the empty space the portal had once occupied. Surely, something would go right.

Surely, he was not this terrible at being a war-leader?

Only time would tell.

Soundwave is always happy to try and chew on your neck.

It had been his intention to escape the Hollow - The hunger was impossible to ignore, forcing itself ot the forefront of his processor. He needed to feed in order to continue functioning

Soundwave had always been a quiet mech, and Megatron remembered well how, when the Hollow had been full, he'd been startled many times to find his communications officer standing not far away from him.

Now, with no others around, he knew the soft footfalls for what they were.

"Soundwave." He couldn't help but smile, sitting up on his throne and trying to not look like he'd just been sprawled so lazily across it, a moment ago.

"You were just who I was hoping to see. Come join me."

The voice drew his attention immediately, pausing in his movements; he couldn't ignore a direct request from Megatron. He wouldn't. It may as well have been hardwired into his systems.

He turned to fix his expressionless gaze on the throne, altering course despite the system warnings. Both a priority and a target, just being around Magnum was more of a conflict than his emotions had ever been. Thankfully, the ever-present mask would disguise his affliction... For the moment, anyway.

"As you command."

He only paused when he reached the foot of the throne, optics fixed intently on the Decepticon leader. Moreso on his throat than his face, but then, the visor hid that just as well the mask did his sharpened dental plating.

"Query: Does Megatron require assistance?"

"Not assistance, no." He leaned forward, resting his elbow-joints just inside his knee-spikes, watching Soundwave.

It had been some time, yes. There were differences.

The most obvious difference was the return of focus. Soundwave, connected to Ratchet, had seemed out of sorts, almost expressive for a mech who normally remained still. This Soundwave was already attentive, already listening...

"I want to hear how you have been. What you discovered, on your journey..."

"Datalogs: have been provided."

This conversation needed to be over. Immediately.

While he would usually experience some odd sense of importance, a feeling he had finally become accustomed to, he didn't. He felt traitorous. He felt hungry.

The lust was nothing like it should have been, if he were to even admit that it existed in the first place.

He took a small step closer without fully realizing, canting his head slightly.

"Further analysis: Required?"
