A rant about money and being screwed.

First, you should all read (or at least skim) this HERE because i will be speaking about it briefly.

To sum it up, Americans (and some British, though i would assume thats a fairly small number) companies are screwing Australians. Why? How? Simple.

Because they can.

How? By making us pay more. Not electronics - games mostly - are quite a bit more ( Read more... )

Holy shit. I figured prices for things would be a little more in Australia, for the same reason things were expensive in Alaska.. that being it all has to be specially imported... but that's just totally ridiculous. I bitch about the fact that I'm paying like $60 when I want to buy a new game, and for the same game, you'd have to pay a hundred? That's insane... that is just blatant price gouging. Holy crap man :\

I don't blame you. That's retarded. That's like completely unapologetic rape. "We're just gonna go ahead and stick it in ya and break it off. Please sit still."

And thats just games. You want a graphics card? $150 or so in the states? $300-400 here. Its ridiculous.

This is why i usually try and buy online in the states and have people mail it to me, that way they have no idea what country i'm from and i get around their obvious hatred for my awesome country.

Well, maybe they figured because your bugs are so huge, the price tags would look small in comparison.
