Finally found a use for my LJ?

Jan 27, 2008 10:10

So I keep promising myself that I'm going to work on my writing, not because I want to go anywhere with it, but that I enjoy it. Unfortunately I'm a poor planner and I never really seem to get anywhere with it. One option is to sit down and fill out a plan outlining everything I want to write. That would, however, pretty much destroy my writing ( Read more... )

I read what you write, and I like what I've read! I don't think you've updated Tale of Ashura in like 6~12 months though @_@; I used to check it on a regular basis, but like livejournal, when things stop happening, I forget to look at it. Hasn't changed since I last saw it though. Looks like you've started a new story I wasn't told about though, I'll have to take a look at that.

You're seriously planning on starting back up? I know your post basically says that you will, but seriously seriously, or is this more of a "I hope to update if I get around to it"?

It's a serious plan, haven't quite worked out how I'm going to do it, but, I intend to see if I can keep a goal of one chapter a week for each story. I still feel that Ashura needs some work in the early chapters, so rather than dive right back into it where I left off, I'm going to go over it from the beginning. Because I've been posting Ashura in sets of two to three chapters once the editing phase is complete I'm hoping to put out a new update for it every 2 weeks or so with an update for Shadow Wars hopefully being a weekly event. I may have to modify that time table a little bit, depending on how I manage my school work load, and I've sort of been neglecting it lately. The ultimate goal, however, will be met, which is to try and put some order into my writing, so even though it might take me a few weeks to get it all sorted out, I hope adding a posting system will allow me to stay on track a little better.

Yaaay! I've been wondering when you were going to update your lj...but seeing as I'm pretty internet-fickle myself, I can't exactly judge :-P

You should totally get a SheezyArt account! Me and Blair have been spamming our musings on there like crazy! It's fun!

Can't wait to see your stuff!

You'll have to let me know what you think when you finish reading! ^^

Also, SheezyArt? How does that work? Anything specific I should know? I'd appreciate any information ^^

As for updating my lj, yeah, I never was very good at that. So maybe now I'll have a use for it!

SheezyArt is a free online media place where you can upload everything from writings to MP3s (Think DeviantArt, but more aimed towards the amateur/non-professionals). It's a lot easier to upload things (a LOT less guidelines, etc. than DeviantArt) and just an all-around more casual setting. Plus, it's a kinda smaller community, so your work stays on the front page for more than 0.02 seconds after you submit -_-
