road trip
I'm going on a road trip tomorrow! I'm heading down to NC to see Katrina/Lee/Elijah, and then K, E and I are going to the beach (Wilmington). Yum. Seafood at the beach. Then we'll go back, and I think I may go up to Longwood Gardens (near Philly) "on my way home." Elijah will be a year old in a couple weeks, and I'm going to miss his b-day party :( I'm going to "birthday" him while I'm there though. I can't believe he is already one. He's a well-travelled little guy.
My family is coming in less than two weeks. My dad's 60th birthday is on the 25th. He can't possibly be 60.
I'm still experimenting with the flylady method. Yesterday I got a feather duster and a timer. My sink is shiny, and I have morning and evening routines. Yesterday I did 15 minutes of work in the office that saved us about a hundred dollars which we were going to spend on a filing cabinet that we didn't need afterall. Not bad. It's LIKE I made a hundred bucks, right? Another 15 minutes in the main bathroom yielded about 15 pounds of trash. It's like losing a pound a minute :) So far it is working really well for me (baby steps), and I'm having fun with it.
