Anniversaries of many kinds, Hunter S Thompson and fangirling, just for a change.

I moved into my flat exactly one year ago today. I don't know quite how I feel about that, living here has had its great moments and its totally insane ones, but I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Also, I knew my LJ anniversary had passed recently, so I wandered in the direction of the old LJ to check what day it was. On April 1 I had been the proud owner of an LJ for 5 years o.O siresin from April 2002 through September 2004 and aworldinside from September 2004 to now. Scary. Also, I always thought I'd changed over later than that. Huh.

However, then I made the mistake of reading posts. Wow, I was angry with myself in 2004. I mean, not that I'm completely content with myself now, but I mentioned it a lot. I also went into a lot more detail about RL. It's strange how things change like that. I've been giving some thought to deleting the old LJ entirely, but now I'm not so sure. It was quite interesting (and frightening) to read back over things, but I understand that there are tools out there to archive your LJ. Hmm. Something to ponder anyway.

In fannish news, while I don't have anything really specific to say about it, Doctor Who pretty much rocked and I'm sloowly catching up on Heroes (just watched 'Run' tonight) and it's taking me a little bit to get back into the swing of it. However, Mohinder is still pretty and Claire is mostly still my favourite.

Going to try and go to bed early tonight. However, reading The Great Shark Hunt by Hunter S Thompson before I go to bed might make for interesting dreams. It's not quite Fear and Loathing (which I haven't read and need to, but I have seen the movie and imagine it's quite the ride) but after reading some this afternoon my brain was going, 'Nixon, Nixon, Nixon, drugs, Nixon, McGovern, Nixon, Nixon.' The book is awesome, and US history and politics for the win, but still, it was a little odd. The fact that I was incredibly tired might have been a factor.
