I spent 12 hours at work today and I can't say that I'm really looking forward to work tomorrow, but since I came home I've watched the latest two eps of Dr. Who and I feel quite a bit better. Not fabulous, but definitely better.
Overall, I loved them both.
I thought there was just the right amount of Rose. Enough to her acknowledge her presence and the affect it's had on the Doctor, but it never felt like it overpowered the episodes. The cut aways at the wedding were particularly nice.
Donna was insane but in the end quite likeable. Her and Doctor had some very cool interaction and banter and I loved her speech at the end. The Arachnid story was a little insane, but then, with this show I really shouldn't expect anything different.
Martha rocks. At the moment I'm quite a fan. I was prepared to be a little hesitant about her, but I definitely liked what I saw in 'Smith and Jones.' Her and Doctor are adorable, and I don't know if I mean that in a 'shippy way or not, and to be honest I'd kinda hate to see them really go down that route, but I definitely like how they interact.
And of course, David Tennant is awesome. That was a given, no? *squishes him*
I have been craving this show for weeks now and I'm so glad I grabbed these two eps.
Also, randomly, I caught up on the last two TPBs of 'Y: The Last Man' and ... wow. So much love. Now I'm really going to have to make sure I see Brian K Vaughan at Armageddon this year. Between this and 'Runaways' and 'Ex Machina' ... I just love his stuff so much.
Now, sleep. Tomorrow is another day.
