Wherein I have a lot of Jamie Lannister feelings.

Today was fine. I've moved to a new floor, which is actually kinda cool and the day went fast. Booked myself for a eye test too, because I'm wondering if the headaches I've been getting a lot recently are sight related. Eep?

Also I uh, may have bought myself some new boots on my way home, which to be fair I did need because my current pair of boots are dying, and these were on sale, proper leather and have a good sole. Still, more money than I possibly should have spent.

All the talk-y scenes. But mostly in a good way.

Jamie! All the Jamie! I still find it a little amazing how much Books 3 and 4 changed my opinion of Jamie, which I'm now clearly applying to the tv show. He really is my favourite. I did love what they did with his scene with Cat and Brienne at the end, and you have to say that he had a point about the oaths. The Ned thing was a low blow, but perfectly in tune with the books. I can't wait for the Brienne and Jamie Show! Which ... will probably be next season. *sigh* The one thing I didn't like is that this scene seems to have happened prior to Cat finding out what 'happened' to Bran and RIckon. I think it would carry more weight if it was after that, like it was in the book.

I did think the scene with Alton went a little too long though, and I don't quite know what I think about Jamie killing him. I guess it was to remind people he's a bastard and will do anything to survive, or they felt it needed more drama. *shrug*

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau = <3 In case that wasn't obvious.

I love that we're still getting the Arya and Tywin show. I don't know if Tywin does know - it would be an interesting departure from the books if he did - but I like that they're playing with it a little. Also, nice little reminder in that scene with Gregor that Tywin is still a bastard. Arya going on about the dragons and swords was so awesome.

I found the Cersei scenes interesting. While I have no doubt she did have those thoughts about Joffrey - Tyrion is an odd person for her to admit that to, but he is family I guess. I really liked the scenes though, and also her scenes with Sansa. Nicely done. Lena Headey does an awesome job.

Jon's storyline? Dany's? Yeah, still a little eh, even though Ygritte is pretty cool. I'm finding the scenes in Qarth interesting enough I guess, but it's definitely not holding my attention as much as the rest.

That ending might have been a little bit of a shock if you hadn't read the books. Maester Luwin's yell was heart-breaking.

Hockey returned! Yay Rangers. :D Great to see the Kings hold on today too. Don't think this will be as easy a series and their other ones, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

I have Korra episodes! This is exciting! Now all the tumblr gifs I see will make more sense. ;)

I also found this article about the shows the networks have picked up for next season interesting. Not a hell of a lot I'm really keen to see, but some interesting ones ("The Last Resort" especially and I'll probably at least check out the new Matthew Perry comedy). Also, unlikely Lori and Gaby will be making an appearance on H50 next season - both actresses are in new shows. Unless they get quickly cancelled I guess - which I wouldn't wish for either Autumn or Lauren. Happy to see Dichen Lachman in a picked up pilot too.
