I watched this episode with trepidation tbh but uh, it really wasn't too bad. All the team feelings! Hugs! Smiles! Steeeeve. I missed you, Steve.

Steve and Danny were ridiculous. So ridiculous. From the "babe", to the whole 'hurry back quickly I'm turning into you' scene (paraphrased) which killed me because they were just so open about how much they wanted to be reunited, to "What are you wearing?! (seriously) to Danny threatening to kill people for threatening Steve and then the hugs. <3 *sigh* I am well aware of the show's faults but I do love these two idiots.

As for Kono's story-line. On the whole I liked seeing another side of her and Grace did a great job, and oh god the Kono/Steve hug killed me. The "come here" and it was loooong and I choose to believe he was comforting her about Adam because those were some serious "I know that feel, bro" faces Steve was giving Adam on the tarmac. I've no doubt said before, (because I have written far too much about this show on here) that I won't 'ship them while Steve is Kono's boss, and I adore Catherine and Danny to pieces, but there is something about them that I like a lot. Also, I am a shallow and Alex and Grace together is a very pretty thought.

However the trepidation I mentioned above? Totally back for the finale. It's going to be ridiculous going by the trailers which is h50typical but still. *sigh* Let's just hope it's not a complete disaster. I am torn whether I want to see Joe White dead or not because Steve really doesn't need another dead father-figure but ... ugh, he annoys me so much.

At one point during this episode I was eating lolly snakes ... given what happened during this episode, that was perhaps ill-advised. Entrails. Charming.

Oh god Sansa. /o\ That was a hard scene to watch and Sophie did a great job. Jesus this show does not shy away from things.

Have to say I like the way Sandor is handled in the show too. I have an odd soft-spot him.

The Arya and Tywin scenes are so. good. I find it interesting what they are doing with Tywin and god Arya, you are the best of things - tricking him and getting him to mention his father. All the love. Loved the tension that was built up with Piotyr turned up too. Awesome.

Tyrion, I <3 you. Every episode should have Joffrey smacking. And look Jamie mentions! He must be back next week. Please?

Still not really caring about Jon. I liked Ygritte but ... yeah.

However I did genuinely like Bran's scenes this week. Let's hope they manage to keep them interesting over the next, I don't know, three seasons. ;)

Also have to say the AV Club for-experts (aKa those who have read most of the books) reviews for GoT are great. I even read a lot of the comments, even if they do make me realise that I did not read the series as closely as I could have. Sometimes I'm like 'what? when did that happen?' and then have to wander off to A Wiki of Ice and Fire.

I can see me finally getting down that ultra-heavy copy of ADWD on my book-shelf.

I thought the end of this season has wavered a little but OMG that was perfect! I laughed out loud many times. :D

Ben and Leslie! Leslie and Anne! Leslie and Ron!

April and Andy were just kinda there and I am still not sold on Anne/Tom but ... love for the rest. Love.

And yay renewal! For 22 episodes even! Although with the Ben storyline at the end, a S4 with less Adam Scott would be a sad, sad thing. Don't do that, show.

And I meant to post this last night, but since I didn't I have also watched:

That was well, a little uneven but had some good moments.

Super-powered Olivia for days and days. She stops bullets! She powers universe destruction! In the back of my mind I thought they might kill her but uh, not quite like that. Fucking hell, Walter, again with the head shooting? Josh acted the hell of Peter's reaction and of course I was delighted they brought her back in a Fringe-plausible way.

Quite a lot of brain surgery there though. I'm not that squeamish (I mean I watch this show) but sticking things into brains? Yeah, not a huge fan and this episode had it twice. *winces*

Peter and Olivia jumping out of the helicopter was damn cool, and I was glad to see Rebecca Mader back for a bit.

Walter and Astrid's little scene with the Red Vines was <3 but allll the happy endings reminded me a little too much of Return of the King's seven endings. I'm happy they're happy but yeah, I don't know, it fell a little flat for me. I think my main problem was that it kinda lacked tension. Or something. It didn't flow quite right. But now I imagine we get the steps to the future shown in Letters of Transit? I'm placing bets that next season skips forward a ways and when we next see Peter and Olivia, Etta is born.

Happy there's another 13 eps to go. This would have felt a bit weird as a series ender. Maybe there was too much closure and it didn't feel quite like a Fringe episode. Everyone was too happy? IDK.

No hockey for two days, what is this strange world. Nervous about tomorrow morning. Hope the Rangers can pull it off, even though I would feel for the Caps.

Random Alex O'Loughlin pic: he's quite distracting. He's now shaven off the fauxhawk, which makes me a little sad. He's rocking it here, and it would have been awesome to see him show up the UpFronts with it.
