[Hanna likes doing his late night walks in the City. He also likes visiting the cemetery and talking to the dead people, despite the fact he knows they're not zombies and they're not his bff and they can't hear him. He just finds it very calming.
So he's walking back from that, whistling and looking up at the stars, before he quite literally walks into the woman in white, stumbling backwards.]
Oops! Aw, man, I'm sorry, I wasn't...paying attention...
[The almost demonic aura finally hits him, and he shudders, eyes wide.]
[The woman in white notices that scent and further indication feels that he's human. Well, that's strange, isn't it? It wouldn't be uncommon for a warrior to have that scent, but there's something entirely different. Humans don't warrant anything threatening wave of her spear, just glowering from underneath the hood. Strangely dressed, but this is what you get for stumbling into a strange world.
[What in the hell. The woman gets angry enough to pull off her hood -- good job. The white hair and red eye she has is something she doesn't show that often. She doesn't hurt people, although she's not afraid to shoo off. With her hood down, she looks less threatening, at least?
She also shouldn't be understanding that strange tongue. Asking what she is? Right? She glares; the grinning isn't the reaction she wants.]
What are you smiling for?
[For all the frustration and the mounting tension of her demonic blood, it finally mounts for her to say something not in Gaelic, in a thick Welsh accent.]
Not the reaction I would except from a human to see a Nephilim.
[That excites him. He's sadly gotten used to seeing things like vampires and other similar creature-peoples, but she's completely different. It's like meeting Isaac all over again! Except she's not a zombie. Or a guy.]
A Nephilim...?
[His eyes widen. He actually knows what those are. He's read about them, but...]
...No way. No way, you're...really? I thought they were just a myth, in the Bible...Woah...
[This? This reaction isn't what she expects normally. Usually, there's scorn attached to being a Nephilim. It's hard to hide, she's a very tall woman, and even with robes, she simply towers over regular women, even men. She simply has a strange look on her face, as if he said something offensive alltogether. Had this been Connacht, she'd been given grief for it. The tall woman takes a step back to give distance, going back into shadows.]
That nonsense. There was no flood.
[She snorts. She doesn't want to have this conversation, not again.]
Fool, have you never laid eyes upon a half-demon or a full-blooded demon before? Do you know what becomes of those who belittle those of demon blood?
[Hanna doesn't give normal reactions. This is the guy who has a zombie for a best friend, this is totally normal for him. He just shrugs to both of her comments.]
Fair enough. And no, I haven't, this is a first for me, and I am impressed!!
Probably nothing good, I bet.
[These are not the reactions normal people should have, Hanna.]
[Hey. Hey. She's not supposed to be some rare animal -- or at least she feels that way. She just doesn't get it, why are you not going the other way? That's the normal reaction.]
[She shouldn't be taking a step back again, it makes her look cowardly, at least to her, but she's trying her best to calm herself. Getting emotional is the last thing she wants to do. A spike in her demonic presence may be going up, just a bit.]
Stuck, you say? And which one did this? This is certainly not Danu's doing. Badb, then? Which god do I have to appeal to? I have no time for this.
You can't leave. We're all trapped here. The deities control this place, and every few days they decide to mess with the rules here, with curses that usually bend the laws of reality and make everybody miserable.
Oh, and there's ticking if you stay by yourself for too long.

Still, she's speaking in Gaelic-]
Don't come near me.
[Of course, she's taking a step back.]

Oh, woah...
[Is it rude to ask what she is? He'll probably do it anyway.]
What are you?

No, not that silly, mushy nonsense.]
Impressed.
[Well, her tone clearly indicates the opposite. Not every day this Nephilim feels self-conscious.]

[Sorry, sorry, he didn't mean to make her feel awkward!]

Regina. And that much was obvious.

[Okay, reaction to new mythical thing is wearing off, now she's just a new person, which is also cool.]
Allow me to welcome you to the City, which is sadly where you're stuck for a while...sorry...

So do you have anything useful to tell me? Otherwise, human, I'm going to leave. I don't belong amongst you.

[For half a minute, she stares, she's so irritated. And it's bad enough when her hands start to shake. Not good.]
"Ticking".
