YAY

...*goes back to read*

ETA: Miss Caryn told me today that Miss Marina ain't coming back from Betazed so I was stuck with her for the rest of forever. I don't mind that at all. I like her better anyway. For Christmas, she gave me a book of all the Mark Twain stories - a real paper book! She said she got to meet him once, but I think she's just telling me stories.

WIN. WIN WIN WIN.

Also, Grinch! *flails*

In short: ♥

In regard to this quote, I was wondering does that mean that Miss Caryn is Guinan? Because she listens very well and has had to deal with Mark Twain.

I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of Guinan in this fic. [grin]

An update! *jumps for joy* :D Ever since I've first come across this story, I've been obsessively checking for updates. You've totally got me hooked. Jo is so clever as well as being a believable and adorable little kid. I absolutely LOVE her relationship with Savas (who is the cutest Vulcan in existence), as well as her letters to her daddy and Jim. :) Regardless of my mood before turning on the computer, just a glance at this fic has me smiling like crazy. Thank you very much for writing it, and good luck with your course work!

You should know that I giggled, did a little dance, and clapped my hands when I saw this comment. My husband thinks it's adorable when I clap my hands like a little kid.

So glad I could improve your mood.

OMG I THOUGHT THE SAME THING! xD (My english teacher made us watch the movie and I thought it was great. We also had to explain why the movie was similar to the book Brave New World.)

"Soylent corporation engineers ration wafers. Federation Food Safety Commission has yet to give green light."

Eeew! Don't green light it, FFSC, don't do it!

As usual, a clever delight to read. I love how Savas and Jo are protecting each other from their concerns about Savas' rite of passage. I guess they aren't big in Jo's town about discussing how all the old Pagan traditions crept into Christian (and other religions) traditions. I could talk my head off about all that!

I love how Savas appreciates Jo's very special gift to grasp often complex concepts and conflicting messages and then distill it down into a simple and logical explanation. I see glimmers of greatness for Miss Jo. I also continue to love seeing her friendship with Savas and the utter regard and trust they have for one another.

Good luck with the classes starting up again. I hope you get some time to write recreationally despite all that!

As could I. But Jo wouldn't necessarily know all of that. She just knows you have a tree and presents and you go to Gramma's house and have ham (except no ham this year b/c, hullo, vegetarian.)

I'm certainly going to make an effort to write while I'm in school. My schedule is crazy like whoa.

I figured as much as far as Jo is concerned! :) Savas will probably find, with some digging, that humans are more comfortable with just incorporating comfortable and familiar things, however illogical it may seem. :)

I hope the variants of tofurkey have gotten better by Jo's time (they've improved in the past few years, I've noticed in "our" time), so maybe Grandma can make a substitute ham that ain't bad.

Again, good luck with school. I've been putting off classes this term (I'm a very adult aka old culinary student doing a second degree on weekends, but not this term). It sounds like you have more brainpower at work on your degree (you is smart). Please make time for yourself!

I love the ST fandom, don't you? So much is possible. He hasn't even got to stuff like The Lorax with all the Seussian words.
