So, I needed to make this picspam. It simply had to be done. I mean, It's Lysacek. I've been obsessed with him for four years. Let's do this shit.
So, I love Lysacek. I'm a fanatical stan. I also love Johnny Weir (see my icon) but Lysacek is my true heart.
Plushenko can suck it.
So, like I said, I've been obsessed with Lysacek since the 06 Olympics, when I heard about his bacterial infection after the short program. I had kind of written him off as a hot, skinny technician, thinking he'd flop hard in his LP and then we'd never hear of him again. And then he finished barely out of medal contention after a fucking AMAZEBALLS free skate to Carmen. All that passion, and fire, and nailing all the jumps...had you not known, you would have been shocked to discover he had been dealing with IVs the entire day. I was pissed that as a humongous figure skating fan I had never heard of this dude. Plus, I said to myself "I would hit that so hard, they'd hear it on Saturn."
Flash forward four years later, and anyone with half a brain and a fan of skating has heard of this dude. Two time National Champion, 2009 World Champion, and serious contender for Olympic gold. Plus, he's gotten exponentially better since Torino. And I'd still hit it. Extra hard.
The stars were aligning for a very, VERY good week in Ally Town.
Short Program
Stravinsky's "Firebird"
When this fierce bitch came out for his short program he had a look on his face like he owned everything in the building. I was praying so hard to Godga for him to at least have a clean skate. And HOLY SHIT. He did Firebird proud. Someone lit a fire under that boy's perfectly shaped ass. And then when he cried afterwards? Oh, I wanted to hug him. Or fuck him. NOT SURE WHICH BUT IF HE KEPT THE COSTUME ON I WOULDN'T MIND. NOT ONE BIT. I also love that he's really trying to put more artistry in his skating. YOU HEAR THAT PLUSHENKO YOU CRAZED PEDO ON SKATES?
And I love that this bitch skates in Vera Wang, Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen...he's probably a closet case. DON'T CARE.
Long Program
"Scheherazade"
I honestly couldn't watch it live. I had to wait and change the channel, because it was hell on my nerves. My friend texted me to say he'd done great, and I went back and watched it. OMG. YOU GUYYYS. CAN'T EVEN. EVEN WITH THE ALFALFA COWLICK, HOW SO AWESOME? Anyone who says he doesn't skate with emotion needs to GDIAF.
I had to change the channel when Plushy got his scores, but my friend texted me back saying simply 'YES!' and I freaked out. SO excited. And I wanted to put in some more photos of him on the podium but it would've meant putting in a shot of Plushenko's bitch face, which I didn't want anywhere near this picspam. BLARGH.
In conclusion: I'd hit this thing with the force of an Amtrak train.
