So, the first week of school is finally finished, and I feel... oh-so-happy that it's done. I've no issues with my classes, and my teachers all seem very kind, but as a senior, I suppose the classical "senioristis" is proding at the corners of my mind and I just want to get away from it all. I've gotten homework already, but it has all been fairly simple and I was able to finish it without much trouble (which reminds me, I need to finish that photography assignment.)
I no longer have a first hour in favour of taking online Japanese instead. I must admit, it's a tad bit difficult seeing as I've no way of getting any means of help when I hit a lesson I don't understand. I've managed thus far, but I doubt year 2 will be as easy as year one. I'll just have to do my best, ne?
Anyway, on to other news...
Just recently I was final able to nab myself a copy of
Fatal Frame. The game is pretty awesome, and as far as the horror genre goes, I have to say this is the best I've seen. It's great, and even as I was playing this morning in broad daylight I felt the shivers going down my spine. I was really surprised, I don't scare easily... Rather, it wasn't that I was scared, but it had me going, "...Whoa. That's just creepy." The audio and visual just... Wow.
Anyway, you start the game as
Mafuyu Hinasaki, the elder brother of the main character (who I'll explain later), when you go into this mansion, looking for your mentor (I'm staying vague here, because I'll end up relaying the entire game to you people and spoiling it.) It's all in black and white, at first, but that's really only the intro. Still, the back and white bit was a bit more creepy, as it's much harder to see things that pop up at you when they blend into the background.
The brother goes missing and now enters
Miku Hisnasaki, Mafuyu's little sister. You (Miku) are looking for your brother who went missing. You go to the mansion that the game takes place in and find a
camera that belong to your mother, that was given to you brother and... now, well. You have it.
The point of the game is to go around
taking pictures of spirits and such, and suck them up into the camera. Yes, I know, it doesn't make much sense but it is all based on this
amazing true story that is freakish, but I love it...
...So yeah, I rambled a bit...
That's really all I have to talk about today...
Other than the fact that I have TEN Hetalia posters coming in the mail soon. Woo!
