The furnace is broken. I can't feel my hands.
On Sunday afternoon, after starting Chaz up in an attempt to return home from a place, I drove 'im up and down little side streets, willing the speed to spill over 10mph and at the same time the RPM not to spill over 3000. A noisy sustained protestation everytime my foot pressed the gas pedal! I spent 15 minutes doing this, and finally, with a sort of coughing movement, Chaz relented (albeit this time with a pronounced reluctance to accelerate properly), and I was able to drive home at an anxious 35 to 40.
Tomorrow after work, since there will almost certainly still be sunlight in the air, I will take Chaz out for a neighborhood spin to see just how long it takes this time to Drive Normalfjkdldfjkdlfj. (I made a loop around the neighborhood today, but got too nervous after 5 minutes of creeping along, 10mph, 3000-threatening-4000 RPM. And so, crept back home.)
... Darn. I guess Low isn't playing Taipei on the May 23rd after all.
This paragraph may possibly self-destruct tomorrow, depending on whether I'm thinking clearer after much-needed z's: Wondering vaguelike about a couple things (if x thought well of y, if z thought well of x and a, whether z came out unscathed or wounded, if x/a and z think there is a future relationship possible blah blah it's like a bloody SOAP OPERA). 'Cos Four Tet/Hot Chip hitting up this joint in the fall would be pretty sweet. Reality check -- their stage plots and gear would be much more complicated, I'd guess? also, the financial situation might be even more intimidating this time, seeing as how both acts are from overseas.
