Hee!

I was looking around for new iPad apps to keep me entertained, and the App store was recommending 'Avengers Academy', so I thought, 'hey, I like the Avengers', and gave it a shot. The premise is that all the Avengers (comic book incarnations, as far as I can tell) are teenagers, and Fury has opened a school to train them and take down HYDRA. The gameplay is kind of meh, but the dialogue is so spot on and perfect that I kept playing just to enjoy it. Teen!Tony is great. Highlights so far include: (some might be paraphrased)

Tony: *randomly* Does anyone mind if I build a robot army?

Tony: Why do you keep showing up out of nowhere?
Natasha: I'm a spy.
Tony: I'm single.

Wasp: I'm going to walk around taking pictures of myself.
Tony: I totally get that.

Pepper: *to you* For now we'll build Stark Tower where Tony wants it. We can move it later when he's not looking.

Pepper: *to you* Let's invite another recruit. If it's just me and Tony here I'm going to go mad.

The cinematics are really well done, too. The opening one with Tony late for school and flying casually through the air is awesome. But, like I said, the gameplay is a bit clunky, which is a problem considering that's the main focus of the game. But's entertaining, none the less.

rantage and randomosity, misc./non-fic
