Just because I hate this kind of shit.
Finally got around to adding a couple communities. Meh. It's been awhile since I've been into LJ really, so I'm kinda starting to get back into it.
However, one thing I can't stand: The icon community mentality. That whole hierarchial bullshit attitude of 'if you don't make em, you can't join em'. What the fuck? What if I just appreciate the talent? Hmm. I guess I'm not just cool enough...or I just don't have the time on my hands.
Perhaps I should find or create communities for those who write and/or record their own music. And hey, guess what? If you can't record your own shit, then fuck you buddy. Guess you're just not able to be cool enough in my book.
Trust me, I know not everyone adopts that mentality. Hell, my beloved makes icons all the time. I love it, and she certainly doesn't have that attitude with me.
