As I don't post on livejournal that often i thought i would partake once more. :)
The weekend was interesting, friday was a fun night out, although one guy said to me, "you look like Amy Winehouse...oh I don't mean that as an insult". I can see where he's coming from what with the mad curly hair and all... but it's not quite a beehive :P I never feel like i get around to talking to everyone i should though, as there's always so many interesting people around. Another guy there was being an idiot, he was very drunk and looked like he was spacing out so i asked him if i could get him some water, and he got all resentful and sarcastic on me, and was basically horrifically rude to lots of the people he spoke to that night. However i would probably give him the benefit of the doubt as he'd had relationship trauma etc. Also learnt that a guy ive met a couple of times, name is actually a nickname- Serif. i know it's to do with typefaces and font, but am not entirely sure what a serif looks like. After the trent union closed we went to a little pub that's open til about 4 or similar, although got freaked out as a strange trannyfied man kept giving all of us (whether male or female) amorous glances, and subtlely stroking us as he brushed past us... The night culminated in 3 of us going back to a trent guy's place and then making inexpert attempts to cook pasta, tbh i'm surprised the building didn't get burnt down as i fell asleep and the others seemed too drunk/incoherent to know what they were doing. Then after finding my way out of Clifton campus the next day, i made it to the cinema with Jess and her bf to see Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which was rather LOL at going to the cinema with a couple on Valentine's Day. Luckily the film was about non standard relationships, but yeah was a bit of an odd paradox to watch it on that day of commercial festivity. And it has Penelope Cruz in it so i was happy :) I went to see a band called Alkaline Trio with my friend Mike, that evening, which was cool, though the weird air conditioning in the venue is annoying. Sunday featured getting lunch with George which was good :), and then due to train schedule stuff, i ended up meeting my friend Harry at some ridiculous anti social hour, and we woke up his housemate to get into the house, and i got to meet Phillippa and Roger the inflatable sex dolls who his housemates had left entwined in the bedroom. We had a vague cultural exchange of each other's creative writing, and our usual long rambling conversations. But as is usual was lovely to spend time with one of my closest friends, and all in all was a rather good weekend :)
