Only as organic as the neighbors...
So I *just* planted my vegetable garden, not 24 hours ago. Organic soil, organic (home-made) compost, and carefully selected heirloom plants.
And right now, our new neighbors are having their deck power-washed, with all of the spray going right onto my new garden. I am guessing there are bits of old deck stain, bits of arsenic-laced deck wood and god knows what else mixed into that slurry.
Luckily we had a big plastic tarp left over from something, so I just went out and covered the whole plot, and anchored it with big stones. But argh, he had already been spraying for a while.
SIGH. I fully understand if anyone refuses my vegetables this summer.
