I've finally finished 'Just One Night'- and apologies for how long it's been. But, in an attempt to make up for it, this is a purely fluffy (and smutty) chapter.

You know, I haven't read anything in AGES, and I just happened to be on Portkey and, lo' and behold, there was a listing for this story on the front page. I read the first part, freaked out at where it ended (silly me didn't notice the 'part two'), and immediately came running here, where I knew if there was more, I'd find it.

You remind me so much of why I love this fandom. Why the two years b/w OotP and the craptacular book that followed were the most fun I've ever had online.

And oh... how I love the angst!

There's nothing like a sharp stab in the gut to make you appreciate the happy ending all that much more. It's all about the payoff, and you had it in spades!

I really liked the description... about how the weight of his body went from being a comfort to stifling and suffocating. That's what got me the most... it was a perfect turn from happiness to misery... reminds me of the old quote about how only that which gives us so much happiness can give us so much pain.

Well done, as always, and I'm glad you're still turning them out with the skill that you do!
