This feels odd ... my sister just sent me a link to an obituary for an old elementary school classmate of mine. He was only 43, and dying at that young age is tragic enough. I knew him fairly well when we were growing up because, unfortunately, he was the playground bully. I had many altercations with him. In retrospect, I don't think he was ever a very happy kid. I don't know how his adult life turned out, or how he died. I wish I could say I had more positive memories of him myself. Regardless, though, he and his family will be in my prayers. May he finally rest in peace.
