so what's up?
Several things going on.....
First, got a great DVD the other day, all about the life and times of KROQ Los Angeles DJ Rodney Bingenheimer, called Mayor Of Sunset Strip.
I was lucky enough to catch it when it screened here earlier this year, and it really is a great film for any music fan. Rodney was responsible for breaking MANY of your favorite bands and singers, and you'll be amazed at the star power that is in this movie, caught on film with Rodney over the years. All that, and lots of extras too. Good stuff.
I'm definitely looking forward to Saturday. I've been invited to tour the new House Of Blues here in Cleveland, and will be going down there Saturday morning for that. Good stuff!
After that, I am off for a week, going to South Carolina to visit my parents. Figured as long as I was going to buy a plane ticket, that I would spend some good time there decompressing, so I will be there from Monday until Saturday.
Beyond that, probably will jet off to Detroit for a couple of days when I get back to catch a club show from Velvet Revolver. I am a bit bummed that I will miss David Lindley playing a show at the Winchester while I am gone. David played with Jackson Browne and others quite extensively. Speaking of the Winchester, they just had The Fixx for a show on Monday. That I would have liked to have seen, but I was a bit tired, so I didn't go. I am sure it was VERY cool. The Winchester, in Lakewood, continues to book some interesting and cool shows - it's owned by the son of the guy that built the Richfield Coliseum, owned the Cavs, etc.
