Going broke

Recently, I've been immersed in buying merch.
Well, "immersed" is an understatement. I'm actually obsessed and maybe even close to addicted to buying merch.

In the last few months, I have bought more merch than I ever have in years! Can you imagine that? From someone who rarely bought anything, I have become a person who "HAD" to buy everything.

Why does it feel like I'm treating real life as a game? Like I'm collecting weapon parts for MonHun or God Eater or something. That feeling when you NEED TO HAVE stuff even if you don't need them for the sole purpose of... what, completion? Fulfillment?

It started with something simple.
It was just a One Coin Mini Figure Box. But keychains came after that, then illustration books, and DVDs, and doujinshi, and scale figures, until I became broke and couldn't preorder anymore.

The holiday season was such bad timing, really.
Though I doubt it would have made any difference knowing I wouldn't have stopped spending until I was out of cash.

So right now, I'm trying to be more wise? On where to spend my money. I'm not going to stop buying merch, but I guess I will be more picky about what merch to buy. I mean, it's not like I have a huge room to store them anyway so I would eventually have to choose which ones to keep and which ones to resell. And I don't want to resell if it can be helped.

So despite my horrible desire to preorder Megahouse's 1/8 Gintoki ver. Benizakura, I would rather save up for the 1/8 Raidou, 1/7 Benten, the Pic-Lil! straps, the Petanko straps, the ToysWorks straps, and the BL doujinshi. Of course, that doesn't take into account the merch that aren't for preorder yet like the Tieria figure, the 1/8 Midorima, the 1/8 Natsume renewal, the Zone-00 chibi zero, and the Toys Works mini figures.

There. It seems like a rather short list if I actually cross out the stuff I'm not "desperate" to have.
Though to some, that might seem like a really long list already. Haha
