So what have I been up to recently?
Work is doing very well, surprisingly.
I used to be really scared of being assigned to a project from a diamond client, that just participating in a call meeting made my voice tremble like there's no tomorrow. But I'm feeling quite comfortable now. It feels like everything will work out fine regardless of what happens. Maybe it's because I'm also getting along better with my teammates -- which is something I thought wouldn't happen considering how awkward I was at the beginning. I used to avoid having lunch with them, but I keep looking forward to it now.
If there's anything I don't like about my work, it's the shifting schedule. Not because I can't do it, but because it ruins my appearance and health. I don't like looking stressed, nor do I like gaining weight. So if I'm gonna quit this job, it's gonna be because of that.
God Eater Burst
I don't know how or why I didn't know this game existed, but I only discovered it recently and I've been very addicted to it. Especially with collecting weapons. I don't understand why people keep complaining about the plot, the characters, the gameplay, etc. I already appreciate the fact that it HAS a plot, a well-thought setting, good AI, and challenging monsters... It doesn't make sense comparing it to Monster Hunter -- because MonHun's focus is on the gameplay. What God Eater Burst did was to include the elements we wanted Monster Hunter to have, like plot, story-based teammates, sword and gun switching, and jumps. MonHun is a game I enjoy playing with a Hunting Party, but GE Burst is a game I prefer playing by myself. I can't wait for God Eater 2 to come out~ The graphics look promising.
Animanga Fandom
KuroBasu pixiv comic translations are still ongoing! Yes, I haven't stopped doing them yet. I try to get one translation done per week. Mostly during weekends because I'm usually too tired to do anything on weekdays. Without the anime, the KuroBasu fandom is a little quiet. Everybody else is into ShinKyo or Free!. I'm not a part of the ShinKyo fandom so I wouldn't know why it's popular, but for the Free! fandom... I think I've said this before, but too many people are jumping on the bandwagon and making a big deal out of it. (Though I guess you'd expect that from an anime born from a popular commercial) What makes Free! so different from other sports anime, anyway? I mean, aside from the characters being shirtless hotties? I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not watching it for the fanservice, because I am. But surely, that's not the only thing I'm expecting. More than fanservice, I'm looking forward to character development. And I'm surprised at how obsessed some people are towards the characters when we barely know anything about them. It reminds me of what happened to the KuroBasu fandom regarding Akashi. He's only had like 5 lines but he's already everyone's favorite character. Hence, the Free! fandom scares me -- but the ShinKyo fandom scares me even more.
Watches
Recently, I've been obsessed with searching for a really nice Swiss watch with a white/silver dial and a steel bracelet. Price must be $700 or less. I've checked some watch stores here, but have yet to find something I really like. If you have any suggestions, kindly tell me~
