Since my last update I've been able to finish 17 KuroBasu pixiv fancomic translations, but I'm feeling a little lazy in updating each of them in LJ so I might not do that anymore. But I usually try and post one comic translation a day, so if anyone's interested, you can just monitor this
tumblr tag.
However, once I acquire scans and permission to translate some KuroBasu commercial doujinshi, I will surely put them up in this LJ, as I have done with Reborn doujinshi and Zone-00 chapters.

Looking at all the KuroBasu translations I've done, it makes me wonder if I should start translating BL manga. But I dunno, the BL manga fandom right now is a little... strict and stuff. I'm not sure what to expect and if I'm ready for that kinda stuff. Then again, I've been thinking about this for some time now and I'm definitely interested. But the first question is: Which manga? And a follow-up question of: Where to get scans?
I would appreciate it if anyone can share their opinions about this idea.

This is more like a KuroBasu confession but...
I don't really get the whole Akashi-sama obsession thing.
There is one major reason for this.
Since I'm the type of person who loves a character based on how much I know about him/her, it's difficult for me to understand people being obsessed with a character they barely know. Sure, Akashi has appeared in the manga several times revealing bits of his personality and principles, but he didn't have any major involvement in the plot (that would've helped in better understanding his character) until now. I'm excited to see how Fujimaki-sensei will present Akashi, but it's still a little weird for me that so many people were obsessed with him far before this point.
It makes me wonder... How does a character become your favorite character? Does it involve appearances? Character growth? Similarities to your personality? The "cool" factor? Or is it random?
Different people will have different preferences, after all.
Going back to Akashi,
since there has only been a few instances that he has appeared, I'm pretty sure a lot of people have speculated and assumed several parts of his personality in order to complete the "idea" of Akashi in their head.
In my case, I think Akashi is just what he says, "I always win so I'm always right."
Akashi isn't being arrogant, but is stating the truth. Akashi is the type to set goals and plan ahead of time so that he can "secure" his future. In short, Akashi wants total control over his life. But it doesn't mean he doesn't respect other forms of authority. It is actually the opposite. Because he believes in the idea of loyalty and playing by the rules, he will respect authority as long as it doesn't get in his way. He values hardwork, determination, and most especially ambition.
In the case of the Generation of Miracles, it's true that Teikou had its own principles, but Akashi was certainly the one who implemented it as strictly as he could. He wanted victory, he led a military rule, the Miracles bloomed, then they won. I don't blame Akashi solely for the Miracles having a "winning is everything" mindset, but he is a major contributor. I personally believe that the reason Akashi calls every one of them by their first names is because he thinks he "owns" them. After being in charge of them, he developed this idea that because he was the person who molded them the way he wanted, they are his and he controls them. As the manga showed, the Miracles until now are afraid to defy Akashi which is a sign that he still controls them to some degree.
Some people might disagree with me, but this is how I see Akashi from an objective POV. I don't know if other fangirls see him differently, but I'm interested to know what other people think~
