Manga fandom update:
Thanks to
silmanarre for recommending Deadman Wonderland!
It's simply badass and awesome. It has a strange appeal to it and I like it. I've absolutely fallen in love with the characters too. Especially Senji-san and Makina~ ♥ (For some reason, Makina's friends remind me of Kokuyo -- Kashima Toraichi for Ken, and Bomb for Chikusa)
I've also read di[e]ce up until Chapter 14.
So much faggotry. Knowing the authors, I expected a bit of it to some extent, but it certainly surpassed my expectations. It's quite sad that the manga was ended abruptly -- the story/plot had a lot of potential, too. Some say it wasn't popular enough, while some believe it was because Saki Otoh and Yamamoto Kana both had their own new series in mind.
All right, I'm off to reading DOLLS and Switch by Naked Ape, plus Shinigami Doggy, Saki Otoh's new manga.
Anime fandom update
I haven't started watching new anime yet.
I plan to start with Baccano, then Durarara, then Star Driver, then Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.
I'm following the anime of Ao no Exorcist and Deadman Wonderland too, so I'm not so interested in watching other anime at the moment.
Video game fandom update:
A friend of mine lent me Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for the PSP, and I've been playing it since summer vacation started. Because I've been reading a lot of stuff about VP:Silmeria sucking in comparison to VP:Lenneth, I expected a lot from this game.
But after playing the game till Chapter 7, I must say... VP:Lenneth is sooo boring. You're given periods per chapter to recruit some Einherjar and complete some dungeons, but that's it. Moreover, if you don't follow the correct instructions for getting Ending A and just play normally, the story is pretty much nonexistent. It's like you bought the game for merely gameplay -- but the gameplay isn't all that good, either.
In contrast, VP:Silmeria has a great story (or at least, a good way of telling it), an awesome set of characters and relatively good gameplay... It's better than VP:Lenneth in all aspects. So right now, I'm bored with VP:Lenneth and lazy to finish it.
Hopefully I'll get it done soon so I can play Breath of Fire III and Xenogears in the PSP~
Cosplay update:
Thanks to
rikiki_angel for introducing me to some really good Chinese cosplayers~
I'm totally captivated by this certain cosplayer named
Xiao Meng (小梦) not only because he has accurate costumes, and that he's "pretty", but also because he is awesome when it comes to make-up.
In particular, his eye make-up is astounding.
Here is a sample of the eye make-up he's done:
He made those himself, and did all of those on himself too.
After all, he's a cosmetician that works for a Cosplay Photography Studio called Blacksky View. So it's understandable.
Sample of his photos:
Muraki (Yami no Matsuei)
Sheryl Nome (Macross Frontier)
The eye make-up is just amazing.
And the fact that he can cosplay as a woman is also amazing. *A*
One other thing,
Xiao Meng also does BL photoshoots with other male cosplayers.
He cosplayed from the series Loveless, Gravitation, and Junjou Romantica among others.
Recently, he did a semi-BL shoot as Stocking (Male ver.) together with a Panty (Male ver.) too.
Anyway, the whole point of this is.. I was inspired by his make-up skills that I decided to follow some of his tutorials (yes, he has some in his blog).
For Shirayuri Hime (Zone-00)
and
For Shima Ango (Zone-00)
I'm planning to do Rokudou Mukuro's eyes too. But I'm still unsure about what to do.
