From my last post, nothing much has changed.
I'm still a NEET, I'm still broke, and it's still hot.
But I did manage to catch up with the manga of NuraMago (Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan) and Ao no Futsumashi (Blue Exorcist).
My thoughts...
To me, the manga of NuraMago is probably.. something I can fall in love with. For someone like me who bases my love for a series on how much I love the characters -- it seems like it's the case here too.
NuraMago kinda reminds me of Reborn, actually. Haha.
We have a protagonist who insists that he is normal -- but the story requires him to man up and attend to his duties as the rightful heir (and eventually leader) of a world he doesn't want to belong to. That is, if he really wants to protect his friends.
Wait, saying it like that seems like they're very very similar. -_-'
I just love how Shiibashi developed Rikuo's character. For me, Rikuo (both day and night forms) is a very charming protagonist. And it's not always that I find protagonists that way.
I don't have favorite characters, but I don't have characters I hate, either. Maybe that's because.. I kinda like them all, in a way? If I would have to choose a character I like more than the others, then I choose Zen. He's not the character type I usually like, but Zen is just awesome for me. *A*
Other random characters I like are:
Gozu and Mezu, Tosakamaru (of the Sanbagarasu), Inugami and Tamazuki.
As for the anime, I watched a few episodes, particularly episodes 1-15. The animation is really nice~ To be honest, it's a sigh of relief to see such animation from a JUMP series... Especially after sticking with Reborn's...
But the OP and ED didn't seem all too fitting for a series full of youkai... It's supposed to be scary and dark, with some yakuza stuff in it, after all. Monkey Majik's songs are awesome (I really like Fast Forward ♥), but for a Shounen series -- it doesn't really light the fire, you know?
Nura Wakana had a ton more scenes, surprisingly -- compared to coming out for only around two panels in the manga. Maybe it was something Shiibashi wanted to do in the manga but was unable to? They changed a few stuff in the Shikoku/Tamazuki arc too -- Rikuo's development seemed all too slow, and he looked more pathetic than he should. They made the 7 travelers fight with the Nura group's executives, which we didn't see in the manga, and the undercover assignment of Gozu-Mezu was replaced by a raging Shouei who infiltrated Tamazuki's base.
I feel a bit disappointed in how they handled that part -- mostly because I wanted to see a crossdressing Mezumaru, ahihi. But I frowned upon that part with Shouei too. I always thought of Shouei as a relatively composed individual so I was a surprised to see Shouei raging and violating orders.
Another thing I noticed is.. Kubinashi and Ryoutaneko's relationship. As far as I can remember, it was never mentioned in the manga that they were formerly buddies so it seemed kinda like a BL hint for me when they incorporated that idea in the anime, HAHA.
I considered watching episodes 16 onwards, but since they mostly changed the stuff in the arc, I didn't think there was a need to. They even omitted the part where Inugami hugged Tamazuki. ;A;
But what struck me most about the anime... is the seiyuu.
Just how much money do they have that they can afford all the popular ones? O_O

I like the concept of Ao no Futsumashi -- demons and exorcists and everything.
That's the type of story I like, even in movies~ ♥
The manga is still too short for me to say anything, though...
The first major arc is not yet finished, and the characters are only starting to develop.
But the characters in this manga sure are straightforward and energetic, aren't they? It's like... there's a spat going on every chapter or something. Well, that's JUMP for you.
Also, there's one page in the manga that is not inked. And I dunno if it's deliberate or not. Can't remember which chapter. But it was funny when I first saw it.
I've seen the first two episodes of the anime, as well. And Thank God for the big budget!
The art, if not better, is on par with the manga~
The special effects are nice, and some of the seiyuu are well-known, too.
The animation reminds me of FMA a bit, but I guess that's because they have the same kind of atmosphere/genre.
So far, what I like most in this series:
Yukio's...... moles. And Kuro.
But this series is really promising~
I'm looking forward to what will happen in the story and the characters. XD
