I have apparently caught some sort of viral throat thing. I'm taking my anit-viral medication in the hopes that that will give me an edge. Tuesdays are jam-packed with things that I have to make up if I miss them, but I don't think I should be around clients or other students today. The rest of me feels fine, it's just my throat. 1. I have a sewing machine! Yay! Maybe I'll actually get to sew on it before Estrella!

So, I got everything cut out, figured out my bobbins, shooed away the kitten, and sat down to do some sewing. The machine broke the thread about every three inches. Great, so after one and a half feet of edging, I very calmly and carefully walked away from the sewing machine so as to not throw it out the window ( Read more... )

Apparently, inertia is not the only force I must needs overcome to get some sewing done. The kitten is trying to eat the pins off of the cushion, tackle the hot iron, the scissors while I'm cutting, and in general everything I touch is now her play-thing. I only hope that the noise of the sewing machine will be too scary for her to even consider ( Read more... )
