Here Comes the next round of books. One more post and I'll be caught up.
26) Women of the Otherword: Haunted by Kelley Armstrong, finished 4/30
Really interesting how a story was created around a character who is dead.
27) One of those Hideous Stories Where the Mother Dies, by Sonya Sones 4/30
A really quick read, my teens should enjoy it and I found it engaging enough but predictable (although the intended audience will not see as much coming as I did).
28) Sorvay by Celia Rees, finished 5/2
Again from the school book fair but I've read her stuff before and I really did like this one which dealt with highwaymen.
29) The Hollows: The Good, the Bad and the Undead by Kim Harrison, finished 5/3
Seriously, why did I not find these books sooner?
30) Drake by Stephen Coote, finished 5/7
I honestly learned a lot about my favorite historical pirate from this book.
31) Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan, finished 5/9
I love Percy Jackson, I loved this series, I got kids addicted to this series, I loved the final book and
rain_be is basing a gaming campaign off of it with the Scion system.
32) Elizabeth's London by Liz Pickard, finished 5/14
Like every aspect of life back then covered, it was a must have book for me.
33) Age of Fire: Dragon Outcast by E.E. Knight, finished 5/15
I was kind of fascinated with how he made a character that was villainous in the first two books sympathetic in this one.
34) Awakening by Wendy Corsi Staub, finished 5/15
Grabbed from the school book fair, not to my strongest interest but I think my students will enjoy it.
35) The Convicts by Iain Lawrence, finished 5/16
Another book fair grab, I think my boys will enjoy this one.
36) The Tudor Age by Jasper Godwin Ridley, finished 5/23
Another one of those a bit of everything books I found to be a good resource.
37) Age of Fire: Dragon Strike by E.E. Knight, finished 5/24
The way he brought characters from his earlier stuff done was nicely done.
38) The Court of Henry VIII by Alison Weir, finished 5/26
I love her stuff, and literally am tempted to read stuff not directly Tudor involved by her because she's so good.
39) The Gemma Doyle Trilogy: The Sweet, Far Thing by Libba Bray, finished 5/29
I adored this series. Supernatural Victorian at it's finest.
40) Storm Glass by Maria V Snyder, finished 5/31
Wonderful, wonderful author, I was delighted by her second series and characters from her first appear in it too.
