The best gift you have ever received?: Meiker, for those of you who don't know meiker is a stuffed dog that my ex-boyfriend Nick gave me for Valentines Day on the 16th of February of 2003. It was late because I had been on a French Immersion Weekend in Wisconsin. He gave me the dog to hold me over because he knew that I really wanted one when I grew up. He promised to get me a real puppy eventually. Which I should have known would never happen cause we had been dating for 2 weeks. At any rate, it didn't occur to me what the whole deal with that dog was until my speech coach made us bring a stuffed animal to the speech overnight and then talk about why it was important to us. I don't know I was 17 and I took that dog with me everywhere. And it wasn't even as if it was something that I had had since I was 2 or anything. I just knew it was proof that he thought I would grow up which I wasn't sure about. yeah I kinda had a depressive stage and lacked self-confidence even more than I do now which is probably why people told Bill to watch out about me before he and I started dating. I also really liked the poem Liz wrote me for my 16th birthday. I'll post it later if I get her permission and I can find it on my hard drive. If it makes a difference my favorite gift from Bill is the pearl necklace. god was that pretty. I think I quit breathing when I opened it.
