A few other things happened this weekend.

I left my phone on the Rock Island when I headed to my mother's on Friday. One of the conductors found it and said he would return it to LaSalle St. Station downtown, but he wasn't anticipating getting back there until the evening. So I scrapped coffee and meeting up with Kevin, and just hung around.

Florist meeting was great. My only requirement was to include carnations, and that was easily done. Scott, the florist, is going to incorporate freesia and a lily-type flower (I forget the name) along with the mini-carnations, which he called elegants. All the flowers will be white; when I said that someone else had suggested multicolored carnations as a bouquet, he advised against it, since I'm already going to have a palatte of color in my BM dresses and mine. The BM/MoH bouquets will have ribbon amongst the flowers that match (as best they can) the colors of the dresses. Mine will be all white. Seeing as I know nothing about flowers, and he does excellent work, I can feel comfortable with his suggestions. I can't wait to see what we get!

Because Lowell and I had to drive downtown to pick up my phone, we decided to have dinner at Connies. That was all sorts of nice, but by then I was exhausted. Decided to leave grocery shopping for the next morning and crashed.

Saturday and Sunday were both productive, with their own little twists. It turns out Hans' car does not fit in my garage, which put a kibosh on my plan to keep it in there for the week he's in Honduras. Unfortunately, we could not find our guest parking passes, so we had to get new ones this morning, thus making us both late for work. I thought I was helping Lowell out by having him drop me off at the Metra as opposed to the El. What I didn't realise was that in helping Lowell, I was screwing myself over. By the time he dropped me off, the last rush hour train had departed for downtown, leaving me to wait at the station for 45 minutes until the next train. Well, 45 minutes in theory. The next train actually didn't arrive until 15 or so minutes after its scheduled arrival time.

Everything else went more or less smoothly, sans two turned ankles (no injury, thank goodness). I arrived at work at 11:00 AM, had to rush over to get payroll done, and deal with everything else I missed this weekend besides. While things aren't bad overall, I'm still feeling frustrated. I'm going to skive off the gym, and do some working out at home, along with a good deal of cleaning. Our house is overdue.

I had delicious soup for lunch. It had beef in it, however, and I rarely eat beef. Therefore, my stomach is rebelling. Boo.

Tonight:
--clean, damn it
--laundry
--work out
--sleep

I can handle that.

weekend update, lists, pain, life got in the way, worky
