Yay!
Thank you to everyone for everything yesterday. Between facebook postings, LJ entries, text messages, phone calls, IRC notes, dinner, and everything, I was swamped with well wishes. It means more than I can ever put to words. You're all so very wonderful, I could cry.
Dinner last night was really nice. I really love Bahama Breeze, and as the girls said, I wish there was one on the south side, so we don't have to traipse up to Schaumburg whenever we want to go. At the same time, that kind of helps keep its appeal that we *can't* go all the time, so I suppose it's all good. Everyone seemed to have a good time, the food and drinks were delicious as usual, and it was so nice to have people together. Lunch with the girls got set up for today there, and a trip to Gameworks for next weekend got further sorted out. Huzzah!
Most of the actual birthday was spent chilling at home and playing World of Warcraft, but nothing's wrong with that. I've needed a chilling out kind of day, and I'm glad to have it. I know next Saturday will be a little hectic, and after that, theater and choirs start up again, so my world will flip around some more. But I am glad for this weekend; it's preparing me for what's to come.
