All the work I did cleaning the house probably was forgotten by the next day, 'cause it looks like no one's done anything here during the week I was gone. Am I surprised by this? Not really. It is still somewhat frustrating, but what can one do? I will brush it off and go to bed, and do nothing to mess up the house so that I don't get whined at

Actually, it was *after* y'all left that things went to hell. Funny how these things work out.
