Its sunny down here! I can see the mountain (which reports 43F) from my office knowing fully well that the first slope is 45 minutes away. Do you know what kind of temptation that is? GOOD GOD, if my knee didn't hurt like the devil at the moment I would have been playing hooky about 2 hours ago! Damn knee! I swear if I thought it was possible I would have stayed in pharmaceutical engineering and found the magic drug for the ski-knee. Too bad its just NOT possible, and I have spend many a projects and late night trying to figure something out while I was at UW. Drugs and our bodies is akin to navigating a mine field.

So, the Europe thing...no I haven't been to Germany but I was born in former Yugoslavia (Belgrade) and lived there until I was 9. I have been back a couple of times since than to Belgrade as well as Italy and Sweden. I still speak Serbian so part of me feels European. Anyway this trip is for fun, and for a much needed getaway. I teach on Hood on the 23ed and 24th and leave on the 25th. Then get to go and ski my heart out in the Swiss Alps! Drooling yet???
