A rare view of Chaohui Guildhall 潮惠会馆 (known to the westerners as Swatow Opium Guild), founded in 1839 by the natives of Chaoyang and Huizhou (Guangdong), residing in Shanghai. The area around Dongjiadu Cathedral was being cleared in 2011, when I saved these street views from a web service that no longer shows them. Years later, I found the original designation of the historic building which stood across the street from the cathedral: it was one of the fire stations in Nanshi.
