Demolition on Fangbang Road
The old town’s principal street, Fangbang Road, branded Shanghai Old Street in the 1990s and very popular with the tourists, is going down, old housing together with the new. This was once a "venerable old street performance stage", although I doubt it is very old.

This was originally an oil store, at 82 Middle Fangbang Road.
This was imitation Phoenix Pavilion (丹凤楼), on the corner of Danfeng Road - not old.
This is at the corner of Sipailou 四牌楼, whose gate is seen on the left. All that famous street life has long been gone.
