3,600+ historic images of Shanghai mapped on PastVu
Highlights of this project appear on the Facebook page Mapping Old Shanghai. To celebrate another 100 uploads I've chosen to show the photos with the most people.

Aloha Wanderwell, the "First Woman to Pilot a Motorcar" and the "First Woman to Drive Around the World," is photographed during her stopover in Shanghai, outside the 怡昌 Hudson Ford Essex auto store on the NW corner of Tibet Road and Avenue Edward VII. Aloha and Walter Wanderwell are standing on both sides of the store manager. This is 1924 or 1925:
The Russian performer Alexander Vertinsky and other guests are dancing in Arcadia cabaret, after the conclusion of Miss Shanghai-1940 beauty pageant:
