I read my old comic PINAPL last night and decided it's basically the best thing I've ever done. The "breakthroughs" I thought i'd been making lately, I had that shit back then. I'm still totally better now than I ever have been, but I was really on to something back then too, and I must get it back. Or, I have it back, but I must amplify it times two.
I've been going back and re-interpreting and analyzing my old comic properties in anticipation of doing one of them again soon. I've basically decided to draw one of these while I do Sharknife Dub Z. it will be something special.
Once my current work for hire is over, I am pumping a chunk of comics spray seasalt all up in all your eyes. I'm done preparing, done practicing, done paying my dues-- Once RS is over and I'm back on my own scene, shit is going the fuck down. There is no other option for me. PREPARE FOR IT.
Further reasons why Police Story 2 is great:
- Greatest Jackie as traffic cop directing traffic scene on film, ever
- Brief shot of Maggie Cheung's wet ass when she falls off her scooter in the rain
- Jackie dressed as 1970's-style creep with mustache kicking ass
- Giant Pop-its used as torture device

Here's another sketch of Ckracker (YA LIKE HOW I USE TWO "CK"s FOR HIS NAME??? HE HE). The first one has some weird shit going on on his head region-- I actually did that somewhat intentionally but it's starting to be annoying, so I drew up a more conventional version of him just now. I need to think his hand tattoos and sword stickers better. I still want both, but they have to be difinitive you dig?
this has been a horrifyingly productive day/night/morning. despite all this "SIDE PROJECT" stuff, I actually managed to draw a page and draw another thing and color a couple things. even crazier is that my iTunes on random has decided to play like all my old songs (that i made myself). i need to start playing guitar again.
